Select Industry
Social media use in the workplace

This course defines the parameters of social media use in and outside of the workplace, its implications, and the need for guidelines for the proper drafting and implementation of a social media policy.

Employees have the right to participate in public and political debate. But in some cases, their responsibilities may limit their ability to participate fully in public discussions, including on social media. They need to be educated on proper use not only for the organisation's interest, but also for the employees' rights and protection.

This course will discuss:

  • Social media and privacy matters
  • Pros and cons of social media use in the workplace
  • What to and what not to consider when using social media
