As of 1 January 2019, those entering the financial planning industry (new advisers) seeking to join an AFSL (Dealer group) and offer personal advice to retail clients, require a degree level qualification. For further information please refer to the FASEA standards -

This course covers the requirements for providing Financial Planning advice (RG146 compliant)

It is recommended that this course be completed prior to the "Advice in" Financial Planning Modules.


Separate courses covering other specialist knowledge areas are available for enrolment include: 
• Advice in Superannuation

• Advice in Securities and Derivatives
• Advice in Self-managed Super Funds
• Advice in Margin Lending 


OR should you wish - we have a packaged course including the FNS50615 Diploma of Financial Planning (incl. Advice in Life Insurance) and Advice in Superannuation, Managed Investments, Securities and Derivatives that you can undertake instead.


This is the industry recommended qualification for individuals who are seeking to become qualified under ASIC requirements as an Australian credit rep to provide a range of standard financial planning services, specialist para-planning services and life insurance advice.


NOTE: If you have previous industry experience/training you may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Please refer to the RPL read more page to determine the eligibility criteria.

Additionally, if you have undertaken this course via face to face previously with AAMC Training and there are any areas you still do not understand, you are welcome to return to the next available class covering that area free of charge. 



For all delivery options, you will need to have access to a computer with an internet connection. There are currently no entry requirements for this qualification.



Your enrolment is valid for a period of twelve months. With reference to "face to face" training, participants are guided through the learning material, and the assessments are to be completed by the participant post class time. Hence, overall course completion is controlled/directed by the participant.
