Upgrade from a Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking
FNS50322 Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management course specifies the competencies required to enable individuals to provide a range of finance and mortgage broking services covering retail/commercial finance.
This is a Diploma Upgrade course which means you must already hold a Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking (specifically FNS40810/FNS40811/FNS40815) to qualify. If you hold a more recent Certificate IV (FNS40820/FNS40821) you must enrol in the other 20-21 Upgrade option.
If you do not already hold a Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking then you will need to complete the full Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management course.
This qualification is designed to reflect the role of employees working in finance and mortgage broking, including those who are independent and work through an aggregator, or who need to manage a workplace team.
In addition to undertaking duties as described in the Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking, they may also perform duties such as:
- recommend loan combinations which meet clients' needs
- assess prospective borrowers' eligibility to obtain finance and their capacity to service debt
- operate and build their own independent business
- broker complex and/commercial leases and equipment finance, commercial finance, project finance and finance for property developers
- act as licensees
PLEASE NOTE: If you have previous industry experience/training you may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Please refer to the RPL page to determine the eligibility criteria.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
To be eligible for this course you must already hold a FNS40810, FNS40811 or FNS40815 Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking. You will need to provide a certified copy of your Certificate (unless you completed this qualification through AAMC Training) along with your record of results, detailing the units of competency achieved.
You may be eligible to claim exemption for some units of competency, dependent upon units you completed in your Certificate IV (FNS40810/FNS40811/FNS40815) - this is part of the Credit Transfer process.
You must apply for Credit Transfer before you can access your course, to ensure you don't do more assessments than required.
For all delivery options, you will need access to a computer with an internet connection.
COURSE DURATION:
Your enrolment is valid for a period of ten months (with an opportunity to extend for a further period, as per our terms and conditions). With reference to virtual classroom training, participants are guided through the learning material and the assessments are completed by the participant post class time. Hence overall course completion is controlled / directed by the participant.
