Recognition of Prior Learning will exempt you from completing the normal study process.

The program will evaluate your prior experience, training, knowledge, skills and competency against the current requirements for the FNS50315 Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

As this is an upgrade to the Diploma course you must already hold the FNS40804, FNS40810, FNS40811 or FNS40815 Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking. You will need to provide a certified copy of your Certificate along with a copy of your statement of attainment, detailing the units of competency achieved supporting your application for Recognition of Prior Learning. Credit Transfer will then be applied for units of competency already attained in your Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking. 

If you do not hold your Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking then you will need to complete either the Full Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management course or the RPL version of that.

 

It is important to note that to apply for RPL, you must have at least 12 months related finance in industry experience, principally involved in either the finance/mortgage broking, client facing lending roles with a lender or similar. You must also possess practical understanding of structuring complex loan applications.

RESUME for RPL

 

Please note: If you are deemed to have the skills and knowledge after our review of your resume, you may proceed with enrolling in the RPL process. If we do not believe you have the necessary skills, knowledge or experience to continue with the RPL application, we will advise you to enrol in the full course. Should you enrol into the incorrect course we may charge an administration fee to transfer the enrolment.   

 

COURSE DURATION:

Your enrolment is valid for a period of twelve months. With reference to face-to-face or virtual classroom training; participants are guided through the learning material and the assessments are completed by the participant post class time. Hence overall course completion is controlled / directed by the participant.

RPL PROCESS:

In evaluating your RPL application, AAMC Training will consider whether there is sufficient relevant evidence to support your experience, knowledge and skills, in line with the course competency units.

Once you have enrolled and paid for the Recognition of Prior Learning - FNS50315 Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management Upgrade, you will be required to complete a step by step process to satisfy evidence requirements. The RPL Evidence Kit (available in your Members Area post enrolment), outlines the RPL process in more detail. 

Step 1 – Application and resume detailing your industry experience. 

Step 2 – Third party declarer statements
You will require a qualified third party declarer, who is able to acknowledge your experience in the Finance/Mortgage Broking industry by completing supporting statements contained in the RPL Evidence Kit (excluding those you have received Credit Transfer for). Your third party declarer is also asked to provide evidence of their own industry experience. 

Step 3 – Risk tasks/evidence
Evidence to support knowledge of risk assessment/management. Templates will be provided and/or completed to support your understanding and expertise. 

Step 4 – Marketing plan
Evidence to support knowledge of marketing. Templates will be provided and/or completed to support your understanding and expertise. 

Step 5 –  Assessor Interview
An assessor will contact you at a mutually suitable time (which you stipulate in your Evidence Kit) to engage in a virtual interview, where you will answer various questions to further establish your knowledge.
