Recognition of Prior Learning – Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking – FNS50315 will exempt you from completing the normal study process.

The program will evaluate your prior experience, training, knowledge, skills and competency against the current requirements for the Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management.
 

RPL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA - WILL I QUALIFY?

To apply for RPL we recommend that you have had a least 12 to 18 months recent related industry experience, principally involved in either the finance/mortgage broking, client facing lending roles with a lender or similar. You must also possess practical understanding of structuring complex loan applications.

RESUME for RPL

 

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

The RPL evidence must be uploaded into our student members area for review and thus you will need to have access to a computer with an internet connection. You will also be contacted by telephone by our assessor for a brief interview as detailed below.

 

COURSE DURATION:

Your enrolment is valid for a period of twelve months. RPL is a data gathering process and therefore is expected to take less time to complete than an online, correspondence or face to face course. We cannot advise the time for completion as this depends on your ability to collect the required data and completed the process as detailed below. This process is provided in further detail upon enrolment.
 

RPL PROCESS:

In evaluating the RPL application the standard of type, quality and relevance of the evidence provided will be considered against all competency areas of the course. You will be required to complete the following process to satisfy the evidence requirements.


STAGE 1 – ASSESSOR INTERVIEW
Complete the RPL Assessor Interview Request form and provide a copy of your CV/Resume detailing your industry experience. Your CV/Resume should outline the following key areas of experience and understanding (but may not be limited to):
• Complex loan structures
• Regulations and compliance
• Marketing and managing your brand/business
• Risk understanding and planning
• Workplace prioritising and professional development 

Your nominated assessor will then contact you to arrange a suitable time for a telephone interview.
Please note: If you are deemed to have the skills and knowledge at the conclusion of the interview, you will then proceed to stage 2 of the RPL process. If your assessor does not believe you have the necessary skills, knowledge or experience to continue with the RPL application s/he will advise you to transfer your application to either an online, correspondence or classroom delivery course. Any monies that you have paid for your RPL application will be applied to your preferred delivery method and you will only need to pay the difference. 

STAGE 2 – PROVIDING EVIDENCE

The RPL application pack, found in the AAMC member area post your enrolment, outlines further requirements of the RPL process. Evidence and activities include the following; You will require a qualified third party declarer, who is able to acknowledge your experience in the Finance/Mortgage Broking industry by completing supporting statements contained in the RPL document. You third party declarer is also asked to provide evidence of their own industry experience. 

2 written testimonials (templates provided) from relevant people who can confirm your experience in the Finance/Mortgage Broking industry. These people must have a sound understanding of the finance industry and/or your experience in the required areas as noted in the templates. 
Evidence to support knowledge of key areas such as risk, marketing and complex lending. Templates and case studies will need to be provided and/or completed to support your understanding and expertise.

This course has been endorsed by the Australian National Training Authority and is registered on the Scope of Registration for AAMC Training Group RTO number 51428 to deliver the Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management.
