This course reflects the roles of individuals delivering training in the technical vocational education and training (TVET) sector.

The ITAC was developed in consultation with the national Skills Development Corporation India (NSDC) to support NSDC’s mission to fulfil the growing need for skilled workers in India and narrow the existing gap between the demand and supply of skills.
The TVET Trainer Course and TVET Assessor Course provide participants with a vocational background skills to train or assess learners in their industry of expertise.
All participants who successfully complete an ITAC course in India will be awarded a completion certificate carrying the Australia Future Unlimited and NSDC brands. The Australian Government will work with national governments and relevant organisations to ensure that ITAC is recognised internationally.
As a set of Australian-developed courses, the ITAC are supported by Australian Government licensing and quality assurance processes. Participants who successfully complete the ITAC courses will be able to make a significant contribution to TVET in their country. Appropriately skilled ITAC trainers will have the confidence and capacity to make reasoned judgements when training, including adapting teaching materials and learning techniques to meet industry and learner needs. Skilled ITAC Assessors will help to meet the needs of industry and enterprises through assessing learners’ skills and knowledge for the workplace.

 

TVET Trainer Course

This course reflects the roles of individuals delivering training in the technical vocational education and training sector.
Entry requirements:
Those entering this program must be able to demonstrate vocational competency in the industry area where they will be training. Vocational competency is defined as broadindustry knowledge and experience, and may include, but is not limited to, holding a relevant unit or qualification.
Course Units:
TVET 001 Use training products to meet learner needs
TVET 002 Plan, organise and deliver work instruction
TVET 003 Engage learners to develop language, literacy and numeracy
TVET 004 Work safely
TVET 005 Prepare learners for formative assessment
TVET 006 Facilitate learning in the workplace
Requirements of the Course:
Learners must complete all six of the following units
- Use training products to meet learner needs
- Plan, organise and deliver work instruction
- Engage learners to develop language, literacy and numeracy
- Work safely
- Prepare learners for formative assessment
- Facilitate learning in the workplace
