If you have had at least five of the last eight years’ experience in the Financial Planning industry and hold a Diploma of Financial Planning then you may apply to complete this qualification via Recognised Prior Learning.
The entry requirement for this qualification is evidence of completion of the following units of competency, from the core of the Diploma in Financial Planning or their equivalent from a previous version of the FNS Training Package. These are:
FNSASICZ503* Provide advice in financial planning
FNSFPL501 Comply with financial planning practice ethical and operational guidelines and regulations
FNSFPL502 Conduct financial planning analysis and research
FNSFPL503 Develop and prepare financial plan
FNSFPL504 Implement financial plan
FNSFPL505 Review financial plans and provide ongoing service
FNSFPL506 Determine client financial requirements and expectations
FNSINC401 Apply principles of professional practice to work in the financial services industry
The entry requirement can be met by evidence of equivalent competency to the above units through recognition of prior learning (RPL).

To complete the course evidence of the entry rquirements will be required and this forms part of your first assessment. Should you wish to ensure you meet the entry requirements of this qualification prior to enrolment please provide a copy of your statement of attainment to AAMC Training and we will advise if are eligible to proceed with your enrolment.
Your enrolment is valid for a period of eighteen months. With reference to “face–to–face” training; participants are guided through the learning material and the assessments are completed by the participant post class time. Hence overall course completion is controlled / directed by the participant.
In evaluating the RPL application the following will be considered:
• Evidence – Is there sufficient evidence to indicate the experience, training, knowledge and skills of the applicant?
• Quality – Is the experience, training, knowledge and skills relevant and suitably extensive to cover all aspects of the competencies of the course?
• Relevance – Is the experience, training, knowledge and skills currently relevant to the course?
Once you have enrolled and paid for the Recognition of Prior Learning – Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning FNS60415 you will be required to complete a step by step process to satisfy the evidence requirements:
There are 8 Steps to complete this RPL process:
Step 1: Complete course entry requirements assessment providing evidence of completion of the required units of competecny.
Step 2: Download and submit assessor interview request assessment along with a copy of your CV showing that you have had at least five of the last eight years’ experience in the Financial Planning industry.
Step 3: Apply via the Credit Transfer tab in the Learning Centre for any units of competency (or their equivalent under the FNS04/FNS10/FNS Training Package), which are common to Diploma qualifications from the Financial Services Training Package. Applicants who have previously gained a Diploma may have had some of these units assessed within their Diplomas.
Step 4: Complete the RPL Enrolment Pack (application form).
Step 5: Submit the supporting statement checklists as appropriate to your area of practice, signed by a qualified third party declarer, together with a copy of their qualifications.
Step 6: Submit at least one client complex case file and any other evidence to support each unit of competency listed above, together with the Portfolio of evidence matrix.
Step 7: Provide two written business references that confirm your experience in the Financial Planning industry.
Step 8: Upload your RPL application and all required supporting documents to the AAMC Training Group portal for assessment.
