Foreign Students
AAMC Training Group welcomes students from all over the globe.
Our Online and Correspondence courses are ideally suited to this and payment can be made online using a credit card which will be charged in AUD$.
Visas for International Students
The Australian Government operates an overseas student program (OSP) that allows people who are not Australian citizens or Australian permanent residents to study in Australia. Anyone who is not an Australian resident may apply to study in Australia under the OSP.
Student Visas
Non-Australian residents wanting to study in AUstralia for over three monts must apply for a student (temporary) visa. This visa can only be granted if the student is enrolled in a full-time course with a registered training organisation (RTO) registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses of Overseas Students (CRICOS). Due to the fact that none of the AAMC courses exceeds the 3 month timeframe, we are not CRICOS registered. AAMC has started the process of registration but currently does not require it.
To be granted a student visa, applicants need to:
- Satisfy student visa requirements
- Submit a completed visa application form with supporting information.
Visa Requirments
Student visa requirements include conditions for attendance and academic performance which come into effect after the student has entered Australia. For more information on visa requirements see the Study in Australia website.
Visa extensions
A new visa application must be lodged if the student wants to extend their study period in Australia.
