    UNIQUE STUDENT IDENTIFIER

    (USI)

    Important information for students currently undertaking a qualification course!

    From 1 January 2015, AAMC Training Group as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), will not be able to issue a certificate for a Nationally Recognised Training qualification unless the student has provided us with their USI.

    ACTION STEPS;

    1. Visit the USI website

    2. Create your USI account

    3. Keep an eye on our website for the prompts to enter your USI into your profile area.

    For any of our Members currently studying a course that will roll over into 2015 or who will be enrolling onto a course in 2015, our system will prompt you to update your profile with your USI number or take you through the application for a USI process at the point of registration.

    New regulations are being introduced that require you to have a USI which will contain all your nationally recognised training records and results from 1 January 2015 onwards.

    When applying for a job or enrolling in further study, you will often need to provide your training records and results. One of the main benefits of the USI is that you will have easy access to your training and records and results throughout your life.

    AAMC Trianing is in the final throes of working with the government departments to have our system linked in with the USI system as we are required to validate and report on each students USI and training.

    It is free and easy for you to create your USI and the attached PDF (above) takes you through the process - just visit www.usi.gov.au
